The emphasis of The Critical Eye Podcast is entertainment with a bent toward skepticism and atheism. Blair and Tom are both atheists and skeptics. They are unabashed and to the point. They do not beat around the bush and they do not coddle the views or opinions of anyone: even themselves.

Blair Scott is the Communications Director for American Atheists and a staff writer for American Atheist Magazine. Blair is also Director of AlabamaAtheist. Blair is a Navy Veteran: yes, Virginia, there are atheists in foxholes. Blair currently resides in Huntsville, Alabama with his wife and twin teenage daughters. In addition to activism, Blair works as a telecommunications manager during the day. Blair has traveled abroad across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East and has visited almost every state in the Union. He lived in Italy for 5 1/2 years and Greece (Crete) for two years. Blair has studied theology for over twenty years and has visited numerous religious sites across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. Blair has engaged in public and online debates, appeared on numerous television and radio interviews/shows on issues of atheism and the separation of church and state. Blair is an activist in his community, his state, and nationally with American Atheists. Tom Hand is an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, and laughing at you for having read that. He is untrustworthy. He does not have a degree, and everything he says should be viewed with suspicion. There is absolutely nothing to recommend his opinion, except that he is never wrong. Ever (even when he is). He’s entirely serious, and can even maintain a straight face while looking into your eyes, while saying that. Suspicious. Do not trust him, he is only after your brains, which he will do horrible things to in the basement he does not have, and laugh entirely too often while doing so. This has certainly not been sarcastic, and should not be treated as funny- that would only feed his ego. He resides in your bushes, patiently awaiting the time when he can add your bases to his collection. He is a skeptic, an Atheist, and he is also taller than you. That is all.
